Your Own Private Plankfish
Choose your plankfish from three species of wild, Pacific fish: salmon, halibut and ling cod. The halibut and salmon are either from Oregon or Alaska, and the Ling Cod is from Oregon or Washington.
Plenty For Everyone
Each plankfish is at least a 2 pound fillet! That one chunk makes a hearty meal for four (8 ounce servings), and can easily feed six -- especially when served up with a couple plankpals or other side dishes.
We Won't Settle for Farm-Fish -- Nor Should You
We pride ourselves on our wild salmon. You won't ever find a farm-raised fish on our planks. Atlantic Salmon? Never. Once you've had a real, wild salmon you'll never settle for one of those pallid, pellet-fed imposters again. Life's too
short NOT to be a salmon snob!
Check The PlankSHOP For In-Season Specials
We always have either troll-caught Oregon or netted Alaskan Chinook plankfish available. Depending on the season and demand, we may also have Red salmon or Keta salmon. Contact us directly if you have questions or would like a species not
currently in stock in the PlankSHOP.
Fresh vs. Frozen - We've Settled The Debate
Too many people have bought in to the fresh-is-better mentality. Don't get us wrong -- a truly fresh, wild Chinook or Sockeye salmon is heavenly. And unbeatable, in fact. But it's the fish that counts. Grocery stores (and even fish
markets!) across the country sell "fresh" salmon that's anything but. And it's often farm-raised in Canada, Chile, Norway or elsewhere, to boot. With all the red-dye those pen-raised fish eat, they still won't have the firm,
flavorful, meaty and dark red flesh of a fresh-frozen wild salmon.
Fresh-Frozen Often Beats Fresh
If you have the opportunity to eat either a fresh-frozen (flash-frozen soon after being caught) wild salmon or a fresh farm fish -- don't even hesitate. Go for the fresh-frozen. It will win hands down in taste, texture and looks! We always
stock fresh-frozen plankfish. They ship well with 2nd day air delivery and taste fantastic. If however, you insist on the ultimate, contact us directly for prices of an overnight delivery of a fresh, wild plankfish!
